Everyone tends to use a deodorant or antiperspirant in the morning but most of us do not have any idea regarding the difference of these products. Deodorants and Antiperspirants are two different products that serve a common yet different purposes. 

Deodorant is something that you roll, dab, or swipe on your pits. This can be confusing as most people have no idea how this can differ from antiperspirants.

The first and foremost thing you should keep in mind while determining the difference between deodorant and antiperspirant is, deodorant fights with body odor whereas antiperspirants will block your skin from sweating. Most of us do not care about this distinction and tend to carry the idea that both of these products will fight both sweat and body odor. The fact is, fighting with body odor and stopping the sweat are different issues that need different products to deal with. 

The ingredients that are used in the production of this product work to stop the sweat product in our bodies. Metallic salts like aluminum zirconium trichlorohydrex or aluminum chloride stop the sweat from getting near to the surface of our skin. The sweat glands of pout bodies get covered by the antiperspirant after application. There are times when people suffer from hyperhidrosis and in such cases, antiperspirants would work as a drug for them.
